Seeing the world through yogurt-covered glasses

Man, time flies

I’ve been meaning to post some really funny entries in the Building a Duck section, but my thespian ways have interupted my net activity. Jessica and I are in “The Miracle Worker” at The Local Hometown Theatre, and it has taken up about all of our time. For my part, I recorded and mixed down all the sound, designed and hung all the lights, and have a small bit part as Mr. Anagnos. It’s too much.

For one thing, I’ve found that I’m not an actor. That’s not to say I don’t do it well- everyone says that I do. What I mean is that it’s simply not as exciting (so far) as being backstage. I think I dig the energy and occasional chaos of backstage life more than life under the lights. Strange. I thought everyone would want to be “The Star,” but I think some people are better and making others look good.

Anyway, Next weekend is the next performance. Then it’s back to The Daily Grind of network building for Radio Tierra, updates for Positively Glorious! and The Metta’s NetStead, and much much work as a Secret Agent.
