Tight Schedule
I’m having a hard time concentrating today.
I’ve just come back from the awesome Gnomedex conference and my head is simultaneously swimming with ideas and ridiculously tired. I tried to jump deeply into work this morning, but couldn’t concentrate, so started writing. 4 hours later, I’m still writing, but suddenly realize that things are not going to get better.
I need a break, so took a look at my schedule for the next month to see when I could take it. Turns out that might be October. It looks like I’m going to drive myself into oblivion until October.
*sigh*
Yesterday, Jessica pointed out that there is basically not a single day between the following events: Conference, travel for work, conference, parental visit, travel for wedding.
That schedule, spanning 4 weeks without a break, is what she was talking about.
This morning I realized that immediately after the wedding is WordCamp Portland, the annual WordPress conference… that I am speaking at.
So, far from a break after Gnomedex, I have to dive into all of that craziness, and get my WordCamp presentation finished at the same time.
Man, that’s a tight schedule.
I’m gonna be one tired SOB come October.
